General, technical and sworn translations:
At Lettera we provide the best quality, general and technical translation services which are undertaken by professional translators who only translate into their native language which are then revised by specialist linguists.
Lettera also provides sworn translation services in all official European languages in addition to a wide range of non-European languages.
A sworn or official translation constitutes an authentic document its content having legal validity in the sense that what is expressed in the translation is taken as being true to the original. Sworn translations are signed and stamped by a sworn Translator, appointed by the Department of Foreign Affairs in Spain and analogous institution in other countries, who is recognized as being qualified to act officially and independently in the translation of oral and written statements which have legal validity.
This type of translation is often required where they need to be submitted to public entities and official bodies such as courts and notaries.
Consecutive and simultaneous interpreting:
Lettera covers the most common combinations of languages in consecutive interpreting (the speaker stops periodically so that the interpreter can translate into the target language before continuing; this service is useful in meetings with a small number of participants or for short speeches) and simultaneous interpreting (the speaker does not stop and those present listen to the interpreter´s translation – the interpreters usually work in pairs per language in each booth for periods of 20 to 30 minutes – through headphones; this service is useful in meetings with a large audience with speeches in several languages and gives dynamism to the event by not interfering in the proceedings).
Our translation rates vary from 0.08 euros per word to 0.20 euros per word depending on whether the translation is general, technical or sworn and whether the language combination is more or less common. We work on the basis of flat rate tariffs for customers who have regular translation needs and we establish special rates for projects of a certain size.
Our interpreting rates are applied per hour, half-day or full working day and vary according to whether consecutive, simultaneous or chuchotage interpreting is carried out and whether there are travelling needs or not.
