Niki de Saint Phalle
Niki de Saint Phalle (France, 1930 – United States, 2002) shaped the cultural landscape of the second half of the twentieth century with her unmistakable style: a very personal universe in which autobiographical references are combined with cultural and political ones. Published for the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao’s retrospective exhibition, this book explores the French artist’s career through her work and the texts she herself wrote. A volume that presents everything from her first paintings of the 1950s to the great sculptures she created just two years before her death.
